Xtreme Relief Pain Cream Description

Description

Chronic Pain &  CBD

Over 100 Million Americans suffer from some type of chronic pain ranging in severity from mild (1-3/10 on pain scale) to moderate (4-6/10) to severe (7-10/10).  Yet most of those who live in chronic pain do not receive appropriate care according to a recent report on Pain in America from the Washington, DC Institute of Medicine.  The National Pain Strategy White Paper (2016) recognizes that “inadequate pain relief is a serious public health problem in the United States,” and emphasizes that access to safe and effective care for chronic pain is a critical priority that needs to be balanced with limiting inappropriate use of opioids if we are to curb the growing opioid epidemic.  CBD (Cannabidiol) can play a role here, providing a viable alternative to existing pain relief treatments.

Unlike opioids, CBD does not make people high.  You can use CBD and still function well.  In fact you can probably function better than normal since 70% of those who have chronic pain report trouble concentrating.  In addition, unlike opioid or other narcotic pain drugs, multiple doses of CBD may be safely taken until the pain is brought under effective control. There is no indication that CBD is addictive and it can be used either topically in a cream or lotion or systemically in an edible or as an oil.  Currently, six out of ten patients say they experience breakthrough pain one or more times daily again indicating how far we need to go to improve pain management. A recent NIH report states that current pain management procedures result in an average amount of pain reduction of 30-40% and this occurs in less than one half of the patients.   We need to do better.

This is where CBD may help.  CBD appears to relieve pain through multiple pathways which improves its chances to be effective.  As a non-psychoactive cannabinoid, there also does not seem to be an upper limit to how much or how often it  can be used.

MMPs are critical enzymes involved in our body’s system of tissue repair.   They are vitally important in how our body heals and repairs itself.  There are more than 28 different MMPs each with a slightly different protein target, mostly collagen, but other proteins as

as well.  You can think of them as your body’s demolition / clean-up crew.  When tissue is damaged by a wound, for instance, the MMPs are recruited to clean up the damage by chopping up the damaged collagen into manageable pieces that can then be removed to make way for new tissue. They allow wounds to clean themselves and heal.  When they are out of control, they can cause extreme damage.  They are responsible for the tissue breakdown in bedsores, they can cause teeth to fall out in gum disease, they are responsible for blood vessel proliferation in macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy.  They also are involved in the degradation of nerves in MS, neuropathies, and have been implicated in many other nerve related diseases.

Inflammation stimulates their production and can begin a self-reinforcing loop that begins a cycle of ongoing damage that is responsible for the progressive tissue damage inherent in many diseases.    Although CBD can help reduce inflammation and definitely  reduces pain, it does nothing to resolve these out-of-control MMPs.

But the trick is to manage these out-of-control MMPs without blocking the good that they do.  They are still necessary to the normal repair of our damaged tissues.

We learned to do this with a plant extract that forms the basis of the second key ingredient in all of our topicals.  In fact, one of our founders, Dr. Stephen Monroe, developed a wound dressing using this technology that is the only one ever to have received approval from Europe’s Regulatory Authorities to claim that it ‘regulated MMPs”.   Regulators at the FDA also told him (private communication) ‘this stuff is safe enough to take a bath in’, which is why we can include this technology in our creams. We call it ‘K Channel’™.

Using this as a starting point, Dr. Monroe has formulated the next generation of this technology to make it safer and even more effective.

It is designed to take care of the out-of-control MMPs safely and effectively without preventing the normal function of tissue repair and regeneration.

Directions

The following are general guidelines and recommendations.

General Directions

This Pain Relief Cream jar should not come into contact with any possible source of contamination and should be recapped tightly after each application.  Take care to not contaminate the Cream after touching any broken skin.  Although there are preservatives in the Cream, if it becomes contaminated, then discard the jar and its contents.

Applying Skin Cream

Remove enough Cream from the jar in one step to completely cover the area desired. After application, there may be some slight stinging caused by the K Channel salts if there is broken skin that will go away in a few minutes.  If necessary, the Cream may be washed away with  soap and water.

Additional cream may be applied as often as needed.

FOR EXTERNAL USE ONLY.

Store in a cool, dark place.  Do not allow to exceed 900 F.  This may cause the high levels of CBD oil to separate.  If this happens, tightly cap jar, shake vigorously and refrigerate.

These statements and products have not been evaluated by the FDA.  They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or condition.

The CBD used is derived from certified Hemp sources.

This means that our products provide a ‘two for’: the CBD helps relieve pain and inflammation while our ‘K’ Channel™ technology controls excessive MMP damage in addition to reducing inflammation through a separate mechanism, effectively doubling the anti-inflammatory power of this cream.  Together, these provide benefits that are not found in any other CBD product,  in fact, not found in any product anywhere whether prescription or OTC.

WARNINGS :
